It’s already a big party, with players radically redesigning the Silent Hill 2 remake to give it a whole new atmosphere.
This month of October 2024 is a little more generous for horror fans than in previous years. And the big thing is of course the release of Silent Hill 2 Remake. A game that was expected at the turn and could very easily have stumbled. But to everyone’s surprise, Bloober Team not only managed not to tarnish the original work, but also signed its best title, which is no small feat.
When Silent Hill 2 Remake meets GTA, Resident Evil…
If you haven’t started yet Silent Hill 2 RemakeAttention ! A major translation error was discovered before publication. Logically, Bloober Team has done everything necessary to remove a spoiler that should never have been there, but be sure to install update 1.003. For their part, players are already doing everything with the game thanks to mods, as usual, WTF! And there’s no denying that some people have imaginations.
From now on it is possible to replace the James Sunderland model created by the studio for Silent Hill 2 Remake with that of the original PS2 version. But there are even better things. Leon S. Kennedy in Resident Evil 4 Remake or even CJ from GTA San Andreas can take the place of the main character. With the mods available so far, you can also add a Robbie the Rabbit mask to James Sunderland or completely change the atmosphere of Silent Hill 2 Remake with a sun instead of fog.
Other creations grant you the right to play Silent Hill 2 Remake in first person, modify James’ hair, and additionally use classic mods to further improve performance. They are all accessible via NexusModsbut as you can imagine, only on PC. On the PS5, however, you have to be content with the normal game with the look and models planned by the developers. Silent Hill 2 Remake has been available for PlayStation 5 and PC since October 8, 2024.
