PUBG’s first full-size map since Miramar is set to appear next month. It will be called Taego and should bring a huge innovation to the Battle Royale.
In July the time has come: PlayerUnknown’s Battlegrounds gets its first full-sized game card since the Miramar desert map. Rumor has it that the developers want to bring a respawn mechanism into their Battle Royale with the 8×8 kilometer Taego map, which was previously announced with the code name “Tiger”.
Especially the respawning, which has long been a part of the gameplay in competing arenas like Apex Legends, should make PUBG fans sit up and take notice. So far, a game in Krafton’s Battle Royale has ended with the death of a player who could not be resuscitated by his team members. That should change soon, at least the fans whisper.
How the mechanics could be implemented in PUBG is still a well-kept secret. Some PUBG-Dataminer but want to have already found out that PUBG is likely to adapt the “Gulag” mechanic known from Warzone, in which players have to fight again for a revival. No matter how the implementation ultimately looks, PUBG will become significantly more accessible with the introduction of a resuscitation mechanism.
The new game card will appear for the players on the PC on July 7th, but probably first on the test server. For Konsoleros it starts on July 15th.
