PlayerUnknown’s Battlegrounds: Season 10 with a new map and more!

PlayerUnknown’s Battlegrounds is entering its 10th season. In addition to a new seasonal card, there are also militias on board for the first time, making it difficult for you to loot.

Team-PUBG today announced new information for the upcoming season 10 of their Battle Royale shooter PlayerUnknown’s Battlegrounds. In addition to a new map, the developers are focusing specifically on PvE elements. A mercenary militia should target you on the new map and valuable loot will be guarded from now on.

On Twitter, the developers announced the map “Haven”, which will soon be available in duo mode. Since the map is only seasonal, it will only be playable in Season 10. It covers a narrow urban area and is intended to be reminiscent of the American Rust Belt. The name “Haven” already gives a glimpse of the special verticality of the battlefield, which you can take advantage of with a new glider. But watch out, you can only use it once per game.

“Haven” itself is a smaller map for 32 players, which should speed up the matches a lot. However, in Season 10 you will not only have to deal with opposing players, but will also be hooked by a mercenary AI. The “Pillar”, as the PvE militias are called, chase you over the map with a helicopter and trucks. Your goal is to guard particularly valuable loot boxes and to decimate the players. By the way, you can’t destroy the truck. Camping doesn’t help against the bots either, because then you will be driven out of your hiding place by the “pillar” with fire bombs.

In addition to the new map and mercenaries, some improvements to the AI, quality-of-life updates and new achievements find their way into the battle royale. Season 10 starts on December 16 on the PC. Console gamers will have to look forward to the update for a day longer.
