Playing all the maps of the Nintendo 64 GoldenEye 007 in Far Cry 5 is now possible and the result is tremendously faithful

Whenever a list is made with the best nintendo 64 games, one of the titles that never miss the appointment is GoldenEye 007, in the end one of the best FPS on console, by RARE. Coincidentally, this same year the remake in which said English studio was working for Xbox Live Arcade was leaked, with a pintaza tremenda. Nothing to do with the later GoldenEye 007 Reloaded.

That Activision update, with a first version on Wii and a more polished one for PS3 and Xbox 360, failed to replicate the same sensations as the 1997 classic, hence not the first time that some person try relive what we felt at that time by means of various tools. The last? The map editor Far Cry Arcade included within the Far Cry 5 of 2018.

Thanks to “Perfect-Dark1982” (his nickname already makes it clear that he is a big fan of RARE FPS) we have absolutely all maps from the original GoldenEye 007 recreated within Far Cry 5, which is already an impressive job.

But it is that the result surprises with its fidelity, beyond the evident leap at the graphic level. From your Far Cry Arcade web space we can see them in full with great detail, in case you want to download them later. They are available both on PS4 (where they were created) and on Xbox One and PC.

What a change from the later GoldenEye 007 Reloaded, ¿eh? A shame that Ubisoft has confirmed that Far Cry 6 will not have this map editor.
