As you remember Engadget, in just a few weeks, the console PlayStation 2 will turn 20, a very special anniversary after two decades have passed since March 4, 2000, saw the birth of what some consider Sony's best platform. Originally released in Japan, the well-known PS2 had backward compatibility with its predecessor, while presenting novelties such as the ability to play DVDs.
After 13 years in the market, PlayStation 2 managed to sell more than 155 million consoles after hosting the launch of more than 4000 games. Great sagas like Kingdom Hearts, Ratchet & Clnak or Jak & Daxter were released in this generation, which also had excellent titles such as Shadow of the Colossus, Metal Gear Solid 2 or Final Fantasy X. Now, almost 20 years later, many of its users remember how they placed their console, whether in vertical or horizontal position, as well as remember some of the most popular accessories: from the SingStar microphones, to the buttons of the Buzz saga.
