Sony has a lot up its sleeve for its new PlayStation 5 console. A good number of exclusive games are in the works, many of which represent a completely new brand.
Anyone who was able to get hold of a PlayStation 5 has reason to be happy. Not only are a number of third-party providers working on corresponding game versions for the powerful platform, Sony is also increasingly devoting itself to this topic and naturally wants to make the PS5 particularly interesting.
As has now been confirmed in an interview with Wired, the in-house PlayStation Studios have more than 25 new PS5 titles in the works. These are then PlayStation-exclusive titles that will only be available in this form on the Sony platform.
According to studio manager Hermen Hulst, many of the titles in the works have not yet been announced. In addition, “almost half” of the projects mentioned also belong to a completely new game brand, so we can look forward to a number of new announcements in this regard.
The already well-known PS5 projects from Sony itself include Horizon: Forbidden West, Ratchet & Clank: Rift Apart, God of War Ragnarok and Gran Turismo 7. More than 20 titles are still unknown.
Earlier rumors brought among other things a PS5 remake of the first The Last of Us into play; This project has not yet been officially confirmed. Most recently, Sony also secured two new projects, including one from video game icon Jade Raymond and her new development studio. A brand new multiplayer game from the Destiny makers will also be released exclusively for PS5.
