For some days there have been rumors that the console manufacturers want to publish new information about the upcoming platforms and their games in May. In the case of the PS5, this now seems more likely.

After the E3 falls into the water this year, players are lurking for other sources of information about the new consoles. According to rumors, both Sony and Microsoft are planning their own (online) events, during which there should be plenty of new information.
This now seems even more likely for the PlayStation 5, as the official PlayStation Magazine has announced plenty of details about the PS5, especially about the latest games and how they play, for the upcoming issue (to be released June 2, online earlier). The teaser sounds full-bodied: "It's coming. The next-gen starts next issue as we reveal the latest games coming to PlayStation 5, and how they’ll play".

It remains to be seen when and in what form and Sony wants to knock something off the PlayStation 5. In view of the corona crisis, a physical event is hardly an option. A stream or online event would be conceivable, but this raises the question of how the OPM wants to get game impressions in the sense of "how they'll play". A corresponding announcement should not be long in coming.
Microsoft had also announced that the next step in the Xbox Series X information campaign was to focus on games. So this could be a hot May. We are excited.
