The whole world of video games feels like the official launch of PlayStation 5. The clues are increasing that this could take place in February – and the creator of God of War now seems to confirm this.

Especially in the past few days and weeks, there have been increasing rumors and signs that Sony could indeed officially launch the PlayStation 5 in February 2020. A current PS4 event, which will be held in New York by the middle of next month, could lead to or prepare for the PS5 reveal event. Finally, the PS4 of its time was officially launched in New York.
There is still no official confirmation from Sony, but David Jaffe, a well-known Sony developer, has now commented on the topic. After all, he is considered the creator of God of War and Twisted Metal, so it should have supposedly inside information.
Via Twitter Jaffe spoke up when asked about the PS5 concept and sometimes made very clear and meaningful statements: "I would say that this is currently the worst kept secret in the gaming industry. A February concept like the one on the PS4 made ", said Jaffe.
I want to say it's the worst kept secret in games right now. February reveal like they did for PS4.

In another tweet he added: "The PS5 presentation is less than four weeks away."
PS5 reveal is less than 4 weeks away. Sony knows hard core gamers are hanging on every scrap of info and know that just cause MSFT dominates the conversation at the moment, that's an easy thing to change when they are ready to reveal (assuming the reveal is good).

Does Jaffe really know more and leaks a February presentation of the PlayStation 5 so clearly? After the topic logically made waves on the net, he relativized his previous statements: "If I had company secrets (which I don't), I would not spread them. I also follow the rumors that I hear online , and the history. It's really not news. Thanks. "
# 1 As a kid from Bama, I'm very glad to see 'reckon' used in a headline. Makes me crave @CrackerBarrel + Uncle Jessie's moonshine.
# 2- If I had company secrets (I don't), I wouldn't spill them. I'm just going off the rumors I'm hearing online + history. This is not news. Thx. pic.twitter.com/sqyedvvQG7

An official confirmation of a PS5 reveal event in February 2020 is still pending, but Jaffe's statements can at least be understood as an indication that it could really happen. The fact that he really didn't know anything at least in the end, or at least heard it, should be doubted in view of his position as the creator of an important exclusive series like God of War. We'll keep you up to date!
