Sony's pricing issues for the PlayStation 5 are likely to have an impact on the planned game line-up. The corresponding Bloomberg report supposedly unearths a very interesting fact.

A report by the business magazine Bloomberg is currently making waves in connection with the PlayStation 5. Due to new competition from the smartphone sector and accordingly higher demand for the necessary parts in the supply chain, the production costs of the next-gen console are namely higher than planned. Sony is currently in a quandary when it comes to pricing because it wants to avoid selling at cost, but at the same time has to stay competitive with Microsoft and the Xbox Series X.
This article also contains another interesting info, because the resulting financial difficulties obviously have other consequences, namely: the game line-up.
So it says on the part Bloomberg citing opinions from Sony's leadership that some of the PS5 games will not necessarily be exclusively reserved for the new console during the launch period. Instead, a large number of the titles should then also appear for the current PS4.
Also, because the number of PS5 consoles available at the start is still unclear, Sony certainly cannot afford to suffer a major drop in sales in the software area.
