A new leak suggests a not necessarily expected feature for the DualShock 5 controller of the PlayStation 5. The new rumors originated from a leak on the French PlayStation website, because there was a brief update in other language versions than French.
Said update has long since disappeared from the Internet, but you know: The Internet forgets nothing. And so you can currently read what PlayStation France propagated on its own website: The DualShock 5 was propagated as a compatible controller with the PS4. Translated means: You will also use your new PS5 controller with your PS4 or – if you like the new, revised controller design – you can simply get a DualShock 5 for your PS4 without having to buy a PS5.
In addition, via reddit now a new, recently discovered patent for the DualShock 5 public. It takes up features that were previously speculated, including the new buttons on the back. Interesting in this context – because it is new – is the fact that the DualShock 5 should also have a built-in microphone. This should also make it possible, for example, to use the PS5 controller to make voice inputs or even voice chat without a separate headset.
