Well, this time the scalpers probably miscalculated. Due to the good availability of the Playstation 5 Pro, moon prices on auction platforms are apparently not an option.
As soon as the pre-orders for the Playstation 5 Pro were possible, the scalpers struck again and bought a lot, hoping for shortages at the launch and thus selling the consoles at ridiculous prices.
Well, this time the PS5 Pro went completely wrong. Despite great demand, there are apparently no problems with the availability of the new console, in contrast to the launch of the old PS5. This means that the scalpers have put their money where their mouth is this time and are now even trying to minimize the damage.
As indicated by several reports, PS5 Pro consoles are currently available on various sales and auction platforms for prices well below the official RRP and a look at Ebay confirms this. There are quite a few buy-it-now offers there whose prices are well below the 799.99 dollars charged in stores, even if some are still trying to get hold of 900 dollars or more.
So don’t be fooled, the consoles are available in stores. If you want to try to get one of the bargains on Ebay from scalpers who want to get rid of their consoles with as little loss as possible, at least be careful that it’s not a scam.
However, the availability of the additional disc drive is problematic (the PS5 Pro comes without a drive). The same is currently quite scarce or even sold out.
