Sony announced this week that its game console 5 As of December 2022, the console has sold more than 30 million units.
Sales of consoles have been growing steadily, but as retail resupplies, consoles saw the biggest month in december.
This becomes apparent when you compare the new numbers to the 20 million reported in May, 21.7 million reported in July and 25 million reported in September.
The December numbers meant the console sold 5 million units in three months, not another small jump.
The console has been the best-selling product in the U.S. since August 2022 in terms of dollar and unit sales, according to NPD data, thanks to increased retail supply. When NPD releases its report later this month, it will share its December sales.
