PlayStation 5: Trophy system is being rebuilt

PlayStation, rebuilt, System, Trophy

Little by little, Sony is leaving more and more information about the upcoming changes with the release of the PS5 out of the bag. Among other things, the trophy system is being strongly renewed.

Sony had a communicative day yesterday, it seems. In addition to a new video in which the PlayStation 5 is dismantled into its individual parts, changes to the trophy system have also been published. The system that has existed since the PlayStation 3 is being rebuilt quite well.

It starts with the previous level range 1-100 being expanded to 1-999. Existing levels are scaled accordingly so that you do not sink into the abyss.

For example, if you previously had level 12, in the new system you will end up somewhere in the 200 range, depending on the number and quality of the trophies.

In addition, the level calculation is changed. This should make it possible for newcomers to get through the lower levels faster and the level advancement is more consistent.

Platinum trophies also bring more points for level progress. There are also new icons for the trophy levels.

The new level system should already be imported today and can then be seen on all platforms where trophies are displayed, including in the PS app and in My PlayStation.
