You shouldn’t expect any big scoops PS5 For now, but you should expect more game console Games popping up on PC.
For a long time, PlayStation has been very resistant to putting its popular games on any content on its own platform. Over the past few years, the company has begun porting its biggest games to PC, with games like God of War and Horizon Zero Dawn actually seeing a lot of success on PC. Now, in the latest investor Q&A, Sony president and PlayStation chairman Hiroki Totoki talked about the company’s PC plans and was asked how its gaming division might try to increase profits, Eurogamer reports.

“In the past, as we all know, we wanted to popularize [our] Consoles, and the main purpose of first-party games is to make consoles popular,” Totoki explained. “That’s true, but there’s a synergy to it. So if you have strong first-party content, not just on our consoles but also on other platforms like computers, first-party can grow through multi-platform – that can help improve operating margins. This is another piece of work we want to actively pursue.
“I personally think there are opportunities to improve margins, so I want to aggressively improve our margin performance.”
This is obviously good news for those who like to play PlayStation games (but not play them on PlayStation). Players on PC may still have to wait a while to see new first-party games hit the platform, though, as Sony has never expressed any intentions to the contrary.
The future for most video games seems to be multi-platform, as Xbox fans are also waiting for more information from Phil Spencer and co on the direction of rival consoles and whether we’ll see Xbox One on PlayStation and Nintendo ox game change.
