Have you ever been asked to take off your clothes and dance in the rain? Ricky Martin claims to have performed a song you may not like but have almost certainly heard through “Livin La Vida Loca” back in 1999. The folks at PlayStation definitely heard the song, and they included it in a playlist alongside a possible first official teaser for the PS5 Pro design.
All of this is contained in a blog post detailing some of the things the console maker is doing to mark its 30th anniversary later this year, a milestone that I’m sure won’t feel the slightest bit old for anyone who grew up playing the PS1.

The announcement comes shortly after leaker bilbil-kun shared an illustration that he claimed showed what the unannounced video game box would look like, along with some apparent details.
The sketch shows a console that looks very similar to the PS5, but with three diagonal lines running down the middle of the shell. If you look at the artwork that serves as the title image for the Playstation 30th Anniversary post, you’ll notice that it includes the iconic shapes that decorate its console’s buttons, which are made from the outlines of Sony’s past and present hardware and peripherals.
Between the PlayStation logo and the 3 of 30, there’s a device that looks a lot like the Pro model, just sitting there. Now, as usual with things like this, it’s probably worth waiting for official confirmation that doesn’t require you to drag an image into your editing program of choice and squint at the screen like you’re the protagonist in The Good, the Bad and the Ugly before you start hyping it up.
While you wait for the announcement, though, you should definitely check out the official PlayStation 30th Anniversary Playlist Sony released in the same blog post. According to the console maker, it’s made up of “the most beloved and most listened-to songs from the past three decades.” So which iconic tracks filled with PlayStation nostalgia make up the 100-track list?
Well, there was the aforementioned Livin La Vida Loca, SexyBack by Justin Timberlake, and Anaconda by Nicki Minaj. But don’t think that’s all, there were plenty of hits to suit all tastes, like Dani California by Red Hot Chilli Peppers, Intergalactic by Beastie Boys, and Hips Don’t Lie by Shakira. For the very fashionable crowd, the PlayStation DJ played songs like Paint the Town Red by Doja Cat and Redrum by 21 Savage.

Also on the list: Candy Shop by 50 Cent and Drop It Like It’s Hot by Snoop Dogg. Did PlayStation hear the lyrics to the first song? We’re not sure, but hey, it at least teaches those kids who like it about the power of metaphor. Oh, and there’s Hello by Adele, and Wonderwall by Oasis. Music, eh?
