PlayStation Plus: Big bloodletting: 25 games are leaving the subscription in May

Big, bloodletting, Games, Leaving, PlayStation, subscription

There are new games on PlayStation Plus Extra on a regular basis, but there are always departures. Things will be particularly intense in May 2024, because then a whopping 25 titles will leave the game subscription, including seven parts of Final Fantasy.

While there are actually always (sometimes significantly) more than 10 new titles on PlayStation Plus Extra and Premium month after month, the departures from the game subscription are usually rather limited. Things will get tough in this regard in the new month of May, as Sony has now confirmed that a whopping 25 games will be leaving PlayStation Plus Extra and will then no longer be playable.

Fans of the successful JRPG series Final Fantasy are being hit particularly hard, as a whopping 7 games from this Square Enix franchise alone will no longer be playable as part of the paid subscription from Sony next month. These will leave PS Plus – as well as the 18 other affected games – on May 21, 2024. If you still want to catch up and play the individual titles, you still have a good month to do so.

Other more well-known titles that will no longer be included in PlayStation Plus Extra from May 2024 include ELEX, Absolver: Downfall and Jotun.
