game news PlayStation Plus: July free offers announced for Extra and Premium subscribers, including one of the best co-op games ever!
Once again, a few days after the release of the PlayStation Plus Essential Games of the Month, Sony introduces the “free” games that will be released on July 18th in the Extra and Premium formulas… We don’t want to spoil them, but it is difficult!
Summary
- It Takes Two (PS4/PS5 – Extra and Premium)
- The Ascent (PS4/PS5 – Extra and Premium)
- World War Z (PS4/PS5 – Extra and Premium)
- The other entries in the Extra and Premium catalogue
- Classics Are Here (PS4/PS5 – Premium)
We start with the best of everything! On July 18th, players subscribed to the Extra or Premium formulas of PlayStation Plus can discover one of the best cooperative games of all time “for free” … We are obviously referring to It Takes Two! In this adventure directed by Josef Fares, two players must work together to strengthen May and Cody’s bond! Unfortunately, the stain won’t be the most obvious because our two heroes lost their human size at the same time and therefore have to face a whole series of dangers such as giant bees. You understood that it is about making this hit that won the title GOTY 2021.
Initially available exclusively for Xbox Series X|S and PC, The Ascent recently made its debut on Sony consoles. For the occasion, PlayStation invites us to discover this cooperative shoot’em up that will take us to a world that is as dangerous as it is magnificent. It’s simple: in this top-view game, the environments inspired by the cyberpunk genre are simply gorgeous and even dizzying. By playing with the different levels, the title always manages to offer verticality, which is simply a masterpiece for the genre. All this is further sublimated by thunderous gameplay and a difficulty level that will make your life miserable.
If you love co-op, World War Z is for you. Just like the Left 4 Dead saga or, more recently, the Back 4 Blood game, World War Z offers you the opportunity to evolve with several of your friends to face the hordes of the living dead. This particularly generous game reveals multiple playable campaigns while offering the opportunity to follow the journey of many different characters (each with their own speciality, of course). Just like The Ascent or It Takes Two, World War Z will integrate PlayStation Plus Extra and Premium from July 18th.
