While Microsoft bakes smaller rolls in name at the Xbox Games with Gold in July, Sony is more likely to open up the full program in the new month. PlayStation subscribers can look forward to several well-known titles.
Sony has now announced the free games via PlayStation Plus in July via PlayStation Blog – and they are definitely worth seeing. The most prominent representative is certainly the first-person shooter Call of Duty: Black Ops 4 from Activision. In the shooting game of the long-standing and successful series of games you can expect three multiplayer modes as well as the popular zombie experience in which you can compete with friends against the undead. In addition, with “Blackout” there is also a Battle Royale-inspired mode on board. The shooter is available for the PS4.
Also on the PS4 is the wrestling game WWE 2K Battlegrounds, which focuses more on arcade fights. You can compete with your beloved WWE Superstars and a number of legends in interactive environments around the globe. You have special skills and power-ups in the various game modes such as Steel Cage, Royal Rumble and more. Online tournaments are also on board so that you can compete with players from around the world. Thanks to the backward compatibility of the PS5, you can also play these two games on the new console.
Another highlight is also available exclusively on PlayStation 5, namely A Plague Tale: Innocence. This is a survival horror game that has received excellent reviews and is played from a third-person perspective. In the game you accompany the young Amicia and her little brother Hugo on a journey through the darkest hours of history. Chased by soldiers of the Inquisition and surrounded by unstoppable swarms of rats, Amicia and Hugo have to get to know and trust each other. As they face insurmountable difficulties, they struggle to find meaning in this brutal, ruthless world.
The PS5 version is waiting with native 4K resolution and targeted 60 fps, greatly improved graphics and faster loading times.
All three games will be available from July 6th and can be obtained by PS Plus members until August 2nd. These three new representatives are joined by another month of Virtua Fighter 5: Ultimate Showdown. If you missed the beat’em-up on the PS4 in June, you will be able to dust it off for lukewarm in the new month.
