Sony aired the PlayStation Showcase tonight, making various announcements.
You’ve seen some big hits: Bungie’s Marathon, Assassin’s Creed Phantasm, Alan Wake 2’s release date, Spider-Man 2’s big gameplay trailer, Metal Gear Delta, Dragon’s Dogma 2, Ghostwalker 2, and more. But there were announcements for other games as well. That’s where this roundup comes in.
One of the headings is fair games From Haven Studios. The PvP competitive heist experience with urgent sandbox gameplay is coming to PS5 and PC, more information will be shared at a later date.
The showcase also introduces harmony, a new game from Firewalk Studios. The PvP multiplayer first-person shooter set in a sci-fi world is coming to PS5 and PC in 2024. More information on the game will be shared closer to its release next year.
fantasy tower, an immersive cyberpunk open-world RPG has also been revealed. Coming to PS5 and PS4 this summer, the exploration and adventure title features a diverse real-time combat system with over 30 different weapons to choose from. These weapons define your fighting style, and the Simulacrum Weapon system allows you to transform into a Simulacrum corresponding to the weapon of your choice, changing your appearance and abilities at the same time. Each sim has its own rich backstory and unique skill set, allowing for endless customization and creation. It’s coming to PS4 and PS5 this summer.
Square Enix announces and shows off bubble star, a new online party shooter for PS5 and PS4. Foam is the ultimate resource in this game and can be used for a variety of purposes: to create smooth surfaces that players can use to surf at high speeds in the arena; Inflame your opponent and win the game. The game’s development team will share more details about the game soon.
hell diver 2 Coming to PC and PlayStation 5 later this year. A follow-up to its 2015 release, the co-op shooter features frantic third-person action against hordes of enemies. The Arrowhead-developed sequel promises to be bigger, better, and hellish. You’ll be part of an elite class of soldiers whose mission is to spread peace, freedom, and a governed democracy. Team up with up to 4 friends to fight the aliens threatening the safety of Super Earth.
During the show, a new Immortal Avim A trailer was shown, highlighting the enemies of the Realm. In the new trailer, you can see Rasharn’s tyrant Sandrakk and the Order of the Mask’s Grand Magnus. Sandrakk is protected by his champions: the hand that masters Force magic and leads the Order of the Mask. There’s also Morbane, a Kalthus Oathbreaker who is now part of Rasharn’s Masked Order and Sandrakk’s Butchers. There are other terrifying fantasy beasts and magical constructs in the game, such as the Brutes that were originally created for the Kalthus campaign, but are now used as shock troops.
And then there are the Leylodons: creepy, worm-like creatures from the Shrouded Realm drawn to weakened leylines that come to feast on the last of the region’s magic. There’s more to it than the enemies in the trailer, though, so take a look. The Ascendant Studios game launches on PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X/S, and PC on July 20 via the EA App, Steam, and the Epic Games Store.
Guihun Mountain, from the makers of the excellent Night in the Woods, this game set in 1919 puts you in the footsteps of a future witch. As Twigcat, you live in a wet log near a cemetery. That’s because the barn you lived in burned down, and now you have a crappy house and a cunning owl that’s asking you for rent. To help make ends meet, you’ll grow crops to sell on secret markets or use for your own purposes.
In doing so, you’ll put down roots, walk through fields and trees, watch the seasons go by, make friends who become neighbors and even family, and enemies as well. You’ll also need to figure out what the ghosts want, throw parties for witches and demons, and eventually build a community, all while square dancing with possums. Oh, and eating rats. It doesn’t currently have a release date, but is coming to Steam and PlayStation soon.
street fighter 6 Getting ready to release and showcase a brand new scenario for World Tour, a new single player story mode set in the Street Fighter universe. From interacting with all 18 legendary masters, including Chun-Li and Ryu, to discovering the true meaning of power, you’ll travel through open world areas and customize your avatar by mixing and matching combat styles and special moves. Street Fighter VI, which was released on June 2, is now available for pre-order.

Croteam and Devolver Digital revealed the long-awaited sequel to 2014’s philosophical puzzler during the PlayStation Showcase. Coming to PC, PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series X later this year, the game dramatically expands on the beloved original, adding more mind-bending puzzles, new puzzle mechanics, and more storyline, more secrets to uncover, and “the largest, strangest world the Croteam has ever built.”
In the distant future, humans have long been extinct, and you will embark on a journey to discover mysterious megastructures. You’ll face questions about the nature of the universe, faith versus reason, the fear of repeating human mistakes, and encounter familiar puzzles from the first game. It also features mind-shifting and gravity manipulation and a character-driven story with multiple endings.
Tonight’s introduction is sword of the sea, a new game from Giant Squid. In the game developed for PS5 and Steam, you will find yourself in the role of a ghost who has been resurrected in a desolate world and is tasked with bringing life back to life. You’ll do so as you explore submerged ruins and the different cultures within them. Surf sunken tombs, mysterious shipwrecks, and petrified battlefields, and bring back huge schools of fish and creatures along the way. But be careful – this land is also home to giant sea beasts that will stand in your way. No release date was provided.
tear down Coming to PS5 and Xbox later this year. Already available for PC, this 2022 sandbox, puzzle, and action game from Tuxedo Labs revolves around the owner of a demolition company who both helps the police with their investigations and takes on rather illegal assignments.
The game has levels made of destructible voxels, and you can perform various tasks of the campaign in which you need to collect or destroy objects connected to the security system. You have at your disposal a vast array of upgradable tools, vehicles, and explosives that you can use to carve a path through the levels to get you through the objective as quickly as possible. Once the security alarm is triggered, the timer starts, so hurry up and do what you need to do to get to the getaway vehicle in time.
Phantom Zero Really caught our attention during the presentation. Chinese developer S-Game announced during the show that its action role-playing game will be coming to PC and PlayStation 5, but did not announce a specific date. Phantom Blade started out as a smartphone game and was never released outside of China, but the team is working on a full-fledged game, and it’s always wanted to make one.
Phantom World, a semi-open world set in the game, is a place where various forces gather. Here you’ll find Chinese kung fu, steampunk-style machines, mystical arts, and other elements. In Phantom Blade Zero, you play as Soul, an elite assassin in the service of an elusive but powerful organization known simply as “The Order”. Framed for the murder of the order’s patriarch, Saul is seriously injured in the ensuing manhunt, and although a mysterious healer saves his life, temporary treatment lasts only 66 days. Now, he must battle powerful foes and inhuman monsters while figuring out who’s behind it before his time runs out.

Towers also offers a social PvE experience to enjoy with friends and family. It’s coming to PlayStation and Steam in 2024.
Cat Quest: Purribean Pirates Coming soon to PC, PS5, Switch and Xbox Series X/S. In this 2.5D open world action RPG, you play as a bluffing privateer. Set in a pirate-themed fantasy world, the archipelago is infested with pirates searching for a long-lost mysterious treasure – the North Star. You’ll find it with your spirit mate and sail your own boat across the Purribean. But beware, the seas are treacherous and mutiny is imminent, as hordes of Pi-rats commanded by the Pirate King will hunt you down in 2024.
Meet friends and foes in the storybook world of The Plucky Squire. In this action-adventure game, protagonist Jot seamlessly jumps from the 2D pages of a book to the 3D world. You can see this in a new trailer, which focuses on the many different ways to play the game: from 3D platforming to top-down dungeon crawling.
