E3 is known to be canceled this year, but PlayStation fans don’t have to go without news and announcements. The next State of Play has now been announced.
As part of a new edition of the State of Play video format, Sony will be making new announcements and delivering fresh impressions of upcoming games in the coming week. The next episode is scheduled to go live on Thursday 2nd June after it’s been over two months since the last episode. So you can enjoy Sony announcements even earlier than usual at E3.
The State of Play is scheduled to start at 11:59 p.m. German time on the day in question and will then last almost 30 minutes. Sony itself promises “announcements and news from the PlayStation world”.
There should be “great surprises from third-party partners” as well as a “foretaste of some games for PlayStation VR2” – Sony had avoided the latter topic until now, but that’s changing now. However, you will be able to tune in via the PlayStation channels on Twitch and YouTube.
In the last issue, the focus was primarily on games from the Far East and, for example, Capcom’s Exoprimal was announced for PS4 and PS5 and new information about Ghostwire: Tokyo or Stranger of Paradise: Final Fantasy Origin was presented. For the new edition, Sony fans are certainly hoping for news about the release date of God of War Ragnarök.
