One of the saddest news that this 2020 has left us (in terms of video games, obviously) is the indefinite delay of The Last of Us Part II due to the fact that PlayStation could not ensure that the game reached everyone due to the situation current due to the outbreak of Coronavirus that has everyone confined to their homes. This situation and its difficult to foresee an end, have caused Sony to make the decision to delay both the Naughty Dog game and Iron Man VR.
If a few days ago the news that The Last of Us Part II had disappeared from the PlayStation Store jumped, today an even more pessimistic news is added and that is that those who pre-ordered the game digitally through the PlayStation Store will receive a refund, as we can read on the official website of PlayStation support.
"The Last of Us Part II and Iron Man VR have been delayed. All consumers who have pre-ordered will automatically receive a refund. Please check your email for details », is read in the message. This fact makes the alarms go off, since it could let us know that we are not facing a small delay, since when the title was delayed 3 months (from its initial release in February to May), these types of measures were not adopted.
The launch of The Last of Us Part II is more in the air than ever and waiting is the next big Sony exclusive to come. Ghost of Tsushima is scheduled for release in late June, almost two months from now, perhaps plenty of time for the situation to have changed for the better. Who knows if it will also be the result of a delay.
