In a surprise sequel announcement mega gamethe 2020 sequel Hades is under formal development, with Hades 2 Come next year.
After a lengthy but well-deserved acceptance speech from God of War’s Christopher Judge, the first big reveal at The Game Awards is Hades 2, a brand new god that certainly looks the same as the one with heterochromia eyes. Zagreus, and Supergiant Games reveals that she is Melinoe, the immortal princess of the underworld. This time around, you’ll try to slay the god Kronos and get help from gods like Moros, Apollo, Nemesis, and presumably more.
The trailer ends with a slightly older version of Hades that appears to be locked up. The new protagonist appears to be a witch, and gameplay-wise, she has some new abilities that set her apart from the adorable Zagreus, who also happens to be her brother.
Supergiant Games didn’t provide a date for when we can expect Hades 2 to enter early access, but you can wishlist it now on the Epic Games Store and Steam.
