Pokemon Go The annual spring event has kicked off, which means select Pokemon will be donning flower crowns.
It also means you’ll have another collection challenge and some limited research to complete, a new Raid boss to battle, event bonuses to enjoy, and more fun things to do.
From today until Monday, April 18th, new costumed Pokemon will appear in this event. You will be able to find the cute Togetic wearing a flower crown, if you evolve her you will get a Togekiss wearing a flower crown. If you happen to find a Buniri with a wreath, evolving it will get you a lopney with a wreath. Not all Pokemon with hats or flower crowns can evolve, so take advantage of that.
If you’re lucky, you can also find shiny Togetic and Buneary in the wild.
The spring event will also see the arrival of Ulla Ulla’s patron saint, the legendary Pokémon Tapbulu, appearing in the Five Star Raid.
During this time, you can enjoy 2× Hatching Candies, 1/2 Hatching Distance, 2× Lucky Egg Duration, and Team Go Rocket Gollum will have more Shadow Whismur and Shadow Exeggcute in their party.
As for the collection challenges, for the next six days, you’ll get a medal if you catch the following Pokemon: Jigglypuff, Buneary with a flower crown, Eevee with a flower crown, Whismur, Chansey with a flower crown, Pikachu with a flower crown , Bunnelby, and both male and female versions of Nidoran.
Completing the challenge will also earn you 2,000 XP, 2,000 Stardust, and meet Togetic wearing a flower crown.
During the event, various Pokémon will also hatch from eggs. In the 2km Eggs you can find Pichu with a flower crown, Igglybuff, Azurill, Munchlax, Happy with a flower crown, Togepi with a flower crown, Exeggcute, Chingling and Riolu. If you’re lucky, one might even be shiny – except for the Munchlax.
The Field Research encounter will include the following Pokemon: Eevee with a flower crown, Pikachu with a flower crown, Buneary with a flower crown, and if you’re lucky, Chansey with a flower crown. You can also find shiny versions of each.
Also, starting today, you can collect Ura’Ura Special Research until June 1st. Throughout the season, you’ll be able to complete different special research lines to learn about each island in Alora. If you complete them before June 1st, you’ll unlock additional special research lines at the end of the season.
These special research lines will be collected from 10:00 am local time on the designated date and will end on June 1st at 10:00 am local time. You can do it any time after you receive your research line.
