Anyone who has gambled on the main series of Pokémon or is still doing so is certainly familiar with the exchange development. This feature is finally being added to the Mobile Spin-Off Pokémon GO. This means: If you trade certain Pokémon, you do not need any candies to develop them. The functionality of the feature is officially described as follows:

  • Here's how it works: Exchange a corresponding Pokémon so that the development costs less candy.
  • For which Pokémon is the exchange development possible? For example, Kadabra, Maschok, Georok and Alpollo are some Pokémon that can be developed in exchange. If you've already received one of these Pokémon in exchange in the past, you're in luck! You can develop this Pokémon afterwards without having to use candy for it.
  • The exchange development is possible for the following single Pokémon: Sedimantur, Strepoli, Laukaps and Schnuthelm can now be caught in Pokémon GO and developed in exchange. Brockoloss and Meistagrif, the developments of Sedimantur and Strepoli, will certainly do well in your combat team.

But that's not all, because a number of other Pokémon from the Einall region are now making their way into Pokémon GO. Some of them can also be developed by exchange.

  • Pokémon appearing in the wild: Kiesling, Schallquap, Lithomith, Unratütox, Laukaps, Wattzapf, Schnuthelm and many more
  • Pokémon hatching from eggs:
    • 2 km eggs: Toxiped and Lithomith
    • 5 km eggs: pebble, sonic squap, unratütox, lau caps, wad cones and Schnuthelm
    • 10 km eggs: Praktibalk, Galapaflos, Flapteryx and Milza
  • Pokémon that appear in raid battles: Praktibalk appears in level 1 raid battles.
  • Pokémon appearing in the wild in certain parts of the world:
    • North and South America, Africa: Jiutesto (also from 10 km eggs)
    • Europe, Asia and Australia: Karadonis (also from 10 km eggs)
    • Southern USA, Mexico, Central America, Caribbean and South America: Maracamba
    • Egypt and Greece: Symvolara
    • Eastern Hemisphere: Red-line perch
    • Eastern hemisphere: Blue-leaved perch villain
