Pokémon GO celebrated its fourth anniversary last summer in a year that has not stopped receiving updates and changes for the coronavirus. Niantic does not want to stop introducing news and has revealed all that it is working on and that will be available over the next few weeks.
All of them will be part of the update GO Beyond, the largest game ever received so far and on which we are going to review everything that is coming.
The seasons of the year
Niantic wants Pokémon GO to better reflect the time of year we are in depending on whether we reside in the northern or southern hemisphere. This will be thanks to stations, with which every three months The game will go through spring, summer, fall and winter with measures that will affect the Pokémon that will appear.
For example, when it is winter, it will be more likely to find Pokémon related to snow or Ice-type, while in those places where it is summer it will be easier to find Fire-type Pokémon such as Darumaka. The same will affect the different forms of Deerling, the Pokémon that will hatch from the Eggs and the Pokémon bosses that will appear in Raids.
Along with this there will be thematic events based on the seasons and will also vary Mega-evolved Pokémon of the Raids depending on the time of year. And there will not be everything, because the Liga Combates GO it will also be modified when the seasons come into force.
From that moment there will be 24 different ranges with their respective names and insignia. This will be accompanied by new rewards, exclusive prizes, and each season will start on the same day the season changes. All of it as of December 1, which will lead to a new special investigation task to celebrate it called “The season of celebration“.
Increase in the maximum level and in the CP of the Pokémon
Until now, Pokémon GO Trainers could only go up to level 40, which limits the entertainment for many players who have been at the maximum level for some time. However, soon it will be possible to go up to level 50, but until that time the players will have easier than ever to reach level 40.
For this to be possible from November 30 to December 31 You will earn double the experience for all kinds of activities, be it catching Pokémon, evolving them or hatching Eggs, for example. Thus, everyone who reaches level 40 before next year will receive a Gyarados Cap and a special Legacy 40 badge in exchange.
Of course, as soon as the range of levels is increased, it does not mean that it will be so easy to reach 50, because each level will challenge you to complete a series of tasks which will consist of catching a certain amount of Pokémon, evolving Eevee in its different phases, winning battles, defeating members of Team GO Rocket or, for example, defeating their leaders with Pokémon with less than 1,5000 CP. This way, leveling up will be even more entertaining.
In addition, Pokémon can become stronger than ever thanks to the XL candies, some new items that can be obtained by catching Pokémon or combining normal candies. And if that wasn’t enough, during the week of November 30, new mechanics that will affect the way you catch Pokémon, gifts, the Adventure Sync feature and much more.
The arrival of the sixth generation of the saga
The December 2nd the Pokédex of Pokémon GO will be expanded on the occasion of the arrival of the Pokémon from the Kalos region, that is, those that correspond to the sixth generation of the saga. At the moment only a small number of them will appear, either in the wild or when the Eggs hatch and they will be all of the following:

- Delphox
- Diggersby
- Fennekin
- Fletchling
- Fletchinder
- Froakie
- Frogadians
- Greninja
- Litleo
- Quilladin

To make it easier to run into any of them, from the same December 2 to December 8 the probability of any of them spawning in the wild will be increased. And with them Niantic has anticipated the addition of a new kind of Mystery Egg in One-Star Raids, but for now he has not wanted to offer more details.
12 days of friendship event
In a while, starting at 10:00 p.m., the event will begin in Pokémon GO 12 days of friendship that will remain active until November 30.
