Pat yourself on the back, folks; you made it. You’ve trudged through the long January nights – no doubt you’ve been living off cheap food because it’s a disturbingly long gap between salaries – and now we’re heading into February. Long live?
Well, maybe have a celebration.things are about to get expensive. It’s been a big month for gaming. 2022 continues its campaign of trying to bankrupt us all, unabated, even if you have more… niche… tastes than the average gamer, and no doubt the next 28 days will give you something.
Let’s start with the big ones: Eldon Ring. FromSoftware’s newest game – definitely not “get tough for it” – hits PC, PS4, PS5, Xbox One and Xbox Series X/S on February 25th. We’ve explained why we’re excited about this in great detail, so if you don’t know everything about this game by now, be sure to go ahead and click the link.
If you like your adventures to be more colorful and hopeful, there is always Horizon Forbidden West, which looks better on the PS4 Pro than many PS5 games. We can expect to see it – eventually, after multiple delays – released on its expected release date of February 18, 2022.
If you’re more into undead action – and try a little parkour in the meantime – February 2022 has your back too. Dying Light 2 PC, PS4, PS5, Xbox One, Xbox Series X/S and Switch (as a cloud version) will hit store shelves on February 4. If you’re worried it won’t last long, fear not; developer Techland recently confirmed that the game will have at least five years of post-launch content.
