This comes as a surprise. One of the most popular shooters on the market is now getting a sequel after over 30 years. And it doesn’t cost a single cent.

Doom is considered one of the most popular shooters of all time. Even 30 years after release, it still receives new content.

The hunt for demons continues as Doom is getting a sequel. No, we’re not talking about the reboot or Doom Eternal that came out in 2016, but rather the first work, which is now 30 years old. With Sigil 2, the former Doom developer and forefather of the series, John Romero, is releasing an unofficial DLC (download content) for the hellish shooter.

You can get it completely free of charge on the Developer’s website Download in the form of a WAD file (Megawad). This is the file format for levels in the first Doom part. In order to play the content, you need the original version of Doom from 1993.

Sigil 2 is the successor to Sigil 1 and is now the sixth unofficial DLC episode that the shooter has subsequently received. It includes nine levels and, in addition to the free version, is also available in the form of a paid version that costs 6.66 dollars. Sigil 2 is supplemented by a soundtrack from the metal band Thorr. However, you can only listen to it in the game and not separately as an MP3 file.
