Panic announced that Playdate pre-orders will open in July.
The hand-cranked mini console is priced at $179. The exact release date is Air date Coming soon, and there will be at least a week’s warning before the booking opens.

In today’s real-time update stream, Panic also launched the first Playdate accessory, the Playdate Stereo Dock.
You can use it to store and charge your console when not in use, and it has Bluetooth stereo speakers. Pricing and availability of Playdate Stereo Dock have not yet been announced.
In addition to the pre-order information and release window, the stream also revealed 21 of the 24 games that were part of the first season’s lineup.

Playdate owners will receive two games a week for 12 weeks. There will be some extra surprise games along the way, some of which are from Panic.
The first batch of equipment is expected to start shipping later this year.
