The “Predator” series is one of the most popular science fiction film franchises of all time. Over the years, the terrifying and superhuman alien has become a pop culture icon. When the six-foot-tall alien first hit screens, only Arnold Schwarzenegger, the Terminator himself, could take down the monster.
The success of the first film in the 80’s was followed by numerous other films, novels, comics, video games and toy figures. Over the years, the alien race of the Predator has been researched more and more. In this way, an insensible, primitive, murderous creature became a creature with its own values and morals. Sometimes man’s greatest enemy and sometimes his only ally.
With the new film “Prey”, a new film in the franchise landed on home screens on August 5th. In Germany, the science fiction action film will be subscribed to the streaming provider Disney+. The plot of “Prey” takes a leap into the past and tells of a meeting between the Predator and the Comanche tribe.

“Predator” movies in chronological order
“Prey” is the latest film in the “Predator” series. It is set in the 18th century when the Comanches populated much of the southern United States. It tells the story of an excellent Comanche warrior named Naru (Amber Midthunder). She grew up among numerous legendary hunters who once roamed the great plains “Great Plains”.
When an unknown predator threatens her tribe, it’s up to Naru to protect her people. She hunts down the attacker, who turns out to be a highly evolved alien species. The creature (Dane DiLiegro) is equipped with an enormously advanced technical arsenal, no comparison to the primitive weapons of the Native Americans. A relentless battle ensues between the alien and the Comanches, in which there can only be one winner.
