Samsung has introduced the Galaxy S23. 5 features set the cell phone apart from the rest of the manufacturer’s Galaxy smartphones.
The Galaxy S23 is here! The successor to the Galaxy S22 offers numerous detailed improvements. The following features set the new Samsung apart from the manufacturer’s other Galaxy phones:
- First Samsung phone with Android 13 ex works: Many Samsung phones have already received Android 13 as an update. However, the Galaxy S23 is now the first device from the manufacturer to be delivered worldwide with the new Google OS. Samsung already announced the Galaxy A14 with Android 13 ex works in January. However, this is not yet available.
- First Samsung phone with OneUI 5.1: Another premiere is the user interface called One UI 5.1. The revision of One UI 5 brings improvements in the setup process and the lock screen, among other things. In the near future it will also appear as an update for older Galaxy cell phones.
- First Samsung cell phone with 200 megapixel camera: Samsung already offers several 200-megapixel sensors. So far, these have only been used in devices from the competition (Motorola Edge 30 Ultra, Xiaomi 12T Pro). Now the South Korean manufacturer is installing the chip in its own device for the first time.
- Return to the Snapdragon chip: For years, Samsung relied on its own Exynos chip for its top smartphone. Variants with Qualcomm’s Snapdragon were only available in selected markets, if at all. The S23 is now available worldwide with the “Qualcomm Snapdragon 8 Gen 2 for Galaxy”.
- A display glass harder than concrete: The use of Corning Gorilla Glass Victus 2 is also a world premiere. The new Samsung cell phones are the first devices to use the latest version of the popular display glass. According to the manufacturer Corning, it should even withstand falls from hip height onto concrete.
The Galaxy S23 is available for pre-order now. Save up to February 16th when you buy it. Because temporarily Samsung sells you the S23 with more memory at the price of the cheaper memory option.
