As of August, the price of Xbox Game Pass has increased by $1 in all markets, while the price of Xbox Series X has also increased in all regions except the United States, Japan, Chile, Brazil, and Colombia.

The news comes from The Verge, which reported on the price increase earlier this week. The price increase for Game Pass will affect the basic version of the service as well as Game Pass Ultimate.

Commenting on the Xbox Series X price increase in an interview with The Verge, Xbox communications chief Kari Perez said: “We’ve kept the price of the console the same for years and adjusted the price. to reflect the state of competition in each market. Market.” So the Xbox Series X costs £479.99 in the UK, $549.99 in Europe, $649.99 in Canada, and £49.99 in Australia. $799.99.

The news comes amid a global recession, with companies and individuals concerned about increased financial costs across the board. Earlier this year, Microsoft laid off 10,000 employees in an attempt to stem mounting financial pressure. However, layoffs in the tech sector and cost cutting across the industry only increased in the months that followed.

Whether you’re a regular Xbox user (who’ll see a small uptick in Game Pass subscriptions) or feel the sudden pressure now to buy an Xbox Series X before August to save a little cash, it’s a tough situation to be around. I’ll have to get out there and buy myself a console before Starfield releases, and I don’t think I’ll be the only one.
