The Prince of Persia remake was also at the Ubisoft Forward tonight with a video and a release date in the bag! Well, almost…
We have waited very, very (too) long for the remake of Prince of Persia: The Sands of Time never stops making us wait. Visibly difficult development, a new start in between, changes left and right… Not to mention the postponements, and especially on this topic…
The Prince of Persia remake is finally released… or almost
Yes, Ubisoft showed us a piece of PoP remake, it’s about time! The game has currently been in development at Ubisoft for many years. It had been a while since we had even heard of him and some even started to think he was dead, but no! He’s just one Arlesian among many others at Ubisoft (hello Beyond Good & Evil 2) and the game is going well. He stopped by Ubisoft Forward tonight to give us one final teaser with a new date!
So it’s official again: Prince of Persia Remake is actually coming, but it won’t be released until 2026. Yes, it’s actually a long way, a long way away. But it’s still better than nothing. Whether the game keeps its promises remains to be seen. On the other hand, despite a small teaser, we still haven’t received any gameplay, not even a “real” picture of the game. So for now, we’ll keep hoping and keep our fingers crossed that the next date is the right one.
However, the license will continue to generate buzz, with a DLC for PoP The Lost Crown coming soon and a brand new roguelike appearing in Early Access, The Rogue Prince of Persia, currently available on PC.
