Prince of Persia: The Sands of Time is slowly developing into a neverending story. After the last postponement of the remake, there is now at least a small ray of hope for the future.
The remake of Prince of Persia: The Sands of Time was announced last September, but Ubisoft has not really gotten into the pots so far. Originally scheduled for this January, the remake was then postponed to March. Then, however, Ubisoft more or less pulled the plug by postponing the remake until further notice. The developers were obviously not really satisfied with the results so far.
As part of the E3 advance notice for Ubisoft Forward, it became clear in a statement via Twitter that we would have to be patient for a while. Prince of Persia: The Sands of Time will not be represented at this year’s E3 and a release is apparently only coming up next year:
“Ubisoft Forward is around the corner and we wanted to use this time to thank you for the amount of support you have show us in the past year. As you might have already read, Price of Persia: The Sands of Time Remake will not be in Ubisoft Forward. We are making great progress for our game to release next year, but we are not ready to share any additional information just yet”.
