Ubisoft announces development Prince of Persia: The Sands of Time Remastered Handed over to Ubisoft Montreal.
The studio was responsible for the original Sands of Time trilogy.
“This decision is an important step, and building on the achievements of Ubisoft Pune and Ubisoft Mumbai, the team will now take the time to regroup the game range to give you the best possible experience with the classic, when it’s ready,” Ubisoft said in a statement.
Ubisoft continues to thank everyone for their support and patience during the development of the remaster. The company said it will share the development progress of the game in the future.
It was announced back in September 2020 that Prince of Persia: The Sands of Time Remastered was originally slated for a January 2021 release, then pushed back to March of that year.Then, the news came out of the game Delayed indefinitely.
The game allows players to rewind time while playing, eliminate death through traps or platforms, and freeze enemies and moving objects. It was originally released in 2003 to critical acclaim and is considered the inspiration for the Assassin’s Creed series.
The game was rebuilt from the ground up using the Assassin’s Creed Origins engine, with new motion-captured motion, new in-game cameras and retuned combat.
