The end of an era for the beginning of a new one. Konami has revealed the new installment of its legendary soccer simulator, which will be completely renamed. In this way, we go from Pro Evolution Soccer a eFootball, a digital-only free-to-play delivery coming in the fall.
It will be available for PS5, PS4, Xbox Series X / S, Xbox One and PC, in addition to versions for iOS and Android. It will have cross-play between all platforms, although users of mobile devices will have to use controllers to be able to play against those of other systems.
As we already knew, this installment will use the Unreal Engine engine and Motion Matching will also be added, a new technology that will significantly improve the animations of the players on the field. Of course, it will be necessary to bear in mind that not all the content will be available from day one, arriving gradually and as follows:
Early fall
- New gaming experience with the Unreal Engine.
- Local mode matches with FC Barcelona, Juventus, FC Bayern, Manchester United and more.
- Matchmaking of different generations.
Fall
- Online Leagues Opening: select your original team and compete in a global league.
- Team Building Mode Opening: build your own team by acquiring players.
- Multiplatform matchmaking between consoles and PC.
- Match Pass system – get items and players by playing eFootball.
Winter
- Beginning of professional eSport tournaments there amateurs.
- Complete cross-platform matchmaking on all available platforms, including mobile, through compatible control.
- Incorporation of the new mobile controller support.
It is interesting to note that, in the future, some modes may be implemented as optional DLC, for each player to create their own personalized experience.
