- Apple struggled with the failure of numerous services on Monday evening.
- The iCloud, Apple Music and Co. were not available for almost two hours.
- The reason for this was apparently a DNS problem.
Anyone who tried to access Apple services such as iCloud, Apple Music or the App Store on Monday evening (March 21) only received an error message. The login problems lasted almost two hours. The situation normalized around 8 p.m. German time.
There is no official statement from Apple about the failure. The US Industry Service Bloomberg but now wants to know the reason from corporate circles. Apparently there was a DNS problem.
DNS servers translate the web address we enter, such as iCloud.com, into IP addresses that are necessary to address the desired server. An error here causes connection problems. In October 2021, for example, a DNS error paralyzed Facebook, Instagram and WhatsApp for hours worldwide.
According to Bloomberg, not only was she affected by the problem, but also the employees of the Cupertino manufacturer. For example, access to the Apple servers from the home office was no longer possible.
In addition to server problems, the update to iOS 15.4 is currently causing discussions among Apple fans. Some of you are complaining about massive losses in battery life.
