Waking up is our project
The new and short presentation of Project Awakening was captured by the good care of Twinfinite, while Cygames presented the strengths of its in-house engine, the Cyllista Game Engine. The new trailer, dedicated to role-playing with real Monster Hunter pieces, was therefore logically dedicated to the engine and its ability to easily generate a lot of vegetation. The developers then illustrated their point of view with some real-time demonstrations between a forest path that appears to be drawn by a famous heavenly paintbrush and a quickly tinkered mountain.

The foliage system includes procedural foliage placement, cloud creation and suppression, peak absorption, foliage layer dependencies, and a removed foliage system. It is designed to effectively place foliage in a large universe while giving it a natural look.
By combining these automatisms with manual retouching, the artists working on Project Awakening therefore hope to create a unique universe in which the forest seems to occupy an important place. But with only two videos in three years, very little is still accessible to us …
