NCsoft has been working behind the scenes on a promising new project – and now it’s finally ready to be unveiled. With Project LLL you can expect a sci-fi online shooter that draws its inspiration from real film heavyweights.
Under the code name Project LLL, NCsoft has presented a completely new IP from its own company – and with it you want to reach shooter fans around the world with a soft spot for multiplayer battles. After all, the title is an online multiplayer shooter that relies on an open game world. The title draws its inspiration above all from cult films such as “Blade Runner” or “Total Recall”.
On the occasion of the official launch, NCsoft was even willing to present the first scenes from the AAA title. There is already a more detailed gameplay trailer that you can watch below. This should give the players an idea of what to expect in terms of fighting style, weapons, skills and the game world.
Project manager at NCsoft is Jaehyun Bae, who in a blog post important features of the title. They want to develop different playstyles and experiences for the players. They should either work together or compete against each other. Several elements play a role in this, including the actual action with classic gunfights with opponents, but also the possibility of joining factions and occupying and claiming parts of space.
Furthermore, they want to create a completely new genre with the title, which differs greatly from ordinary Battle Royale games. In particular, the constant fighting and constant movement should be emphasized. A randomly generated system should also be used and always create fresh content that reacts appropriately to the situation of the players and is not predefined. Technically, the Unreal Engine 5 is used, which should promise decent graphics.
Project LLL will feature a massive world full of creatures, soldiers and robots as an open-world MMO shooter. The setting is Seoul, South Korea. However, an alternative story inspired by “Total Recall”, “Blade Runner” or the Amazon series “The Man in the High Castle” is told there. There is no release date yet.
