Game news Project Zero: The return of this terrifying episode takes on a little more shape
There’s no denying it: when we talk about horror, Japan knows how to do it and it has shown us more than once in the video game world. While we wait for a brand new Project Zero, it looks like a remaster is coming soon.

The Project Zero franchise, which made its mark in the 2000s, was based on a precise concept: ghosts and a camera for a very spooky, very spooky result. Lately, The saga is making a small comeback with a port of the fifth episode “The Priestess of Black Waters” and now it appears that the fourth will be spoken tonight.
It’s called Project Zero: Mask of the Lunar Eclipse and the first time we were entitled to it was therefore in 2008 exclusively for Wii. And to add a little difficulty, this title signed Tecmo and Grasshopper Manufacture was released only in Japan: we westerners could never get our hands on it.
Its return through a remaster would therefore be a new way of playing it, fourteen years after its initial release. The rumor comes from The Snitch, arguably the most knowledgeable and trusted person ever, who dropped the shovel from Discord with a series of emojis directly linked to the game’s title and theme.
A foreseeable comeback?
If the news should please survival horror fans, it seems predictable for some time: When announcing the 2021 remaster of The Priestess of the Black Waters, Koei Tecmo had already responded that the port was from Mask of the Lunar “a possibility”
We just remember that there will be a Nintendo Direct tomorrow from 4 p.m.: maybe the announcement will be made there. In addition, when a series of remasters takes place as in the present case, it is sometimes necessary to feel the temperature to restart the saga with a new game: in other words, we keep our fingers crossed that this is the case.
