News receipt plan Promo gamer processor: The competitor of the Intel Core i7 at a bargain price!
To improve your gaming PC, one of the solutions is to change the processor to gain processing power. This significantly reduces the bottleneck as you can make 100% use of your graphics card. And if you don’t want to change everything by moving to DDR5 RAM, the AMD Ryzen 7 5800 X processor is an ideal choice, especially since it’s on sale right now.
With the arrival of new graphics cards, both from Nvidia and AMD, we arrive at a pivotal moment for PC gamers. When changing generations, you usually benefit from very attractive prices on components from the previous generation. These stay just as good, allowing you to fully enjoy the latest games for less. And what applies to graphics cards also applies to processors!
We are currently finding very good references, such as the Ryzen 7 5800 X, at excellent prices. It can easily keep up with an Intel Core i7, but it could be crushed if you only consider the question of price. Also, it’s currently available on Amazon and Rue du Commerce!
- Recommended price: $499.90
- Rue du Commerce price: $289.90
- Amazon price: $281.86

Ryzen 7 5800X: a processor for gaming that competes with the Intel Core i7!
If Intel shines with raw power, the advantage of AMD is clearly the price-performance ratio. If gaming and office automation are the only uses you’ll make of your PC, the outcome of the duel between the two giants is clear: AMD. If it’s more about 3D renderings or CPU-technically very demanding tasks, the question arises whether Intel has an advantage with a processor like the i7-12700K despite the higher prices.
With gaming (and maybe even streaming) in mind, you can count on this processor to support your graphics card in all these areas with great efficiency. Equipped with 8 cores and 16 threads, it has a base frequency of 3.8 GHz, which can be increased up to 4.7 GHz. It has a TDP of 105W and can support DDR4 memory up to 3200MHz.
You should know that with the new generation of AMD processors, you absolutely have to switch to a new motherboard and replace all your RAM, since you need DDR5. So the Ryzen 5000s are a perfect choice for saving because you only need to switch processors if your graphics card has an AM4 socket.
- For information: to be able to play in the best conditions, you need at least 16 GB (2 sticks of 8 GB) of RAM in DDR4. The ideal is to take 3200 MHz if you don’t already have one. DDR5 is far from being interesting enough and is being exploited by games to be a mandatory move.
Be careful though, this processor doesn’t have a graphics part and you absolutely need a graphics card to use it! It makes sense from a player perspective, but you never know!
