game news PS Plus: This critically acclaimed new PlayStation exclusive is available now
Humanity was recently released commercially on PC, PlayStation 5 and PlayStation 4, as well as directly in PlayStation Plus Extra and Premium for subscribers. A frankly unique puzzle game that has already conquered the press.
Have faith in humanity
The wonderful video game industry has made room for atypical studios whose creations do not go unnoticed. This is exactly the case with Enchancea company founded in 2014 by Tetsuya Mizuguchi in the United States, whose spearhead consists in developing hypothetical titles, to say the least: oowes him video games like Rez Infinite or the celebrated Tetris Effect.
Determined to express their creativity again, the studio has just launched Humanity after several years of development. A title exclusive to PC, PlayStation 4 and PlayStation 5, compatible with PSVR2 (you can play it without) and whose premise revolves around… human flows.
You have to see it to believe it, but humanity actually bases its concept on humanity. In fact, it consists of many puzzles to be solved by playing with hundreds of people, crossing their paths and performing many manipulations in nested levels.
A masterful welcome
Only published two days ago The game has the particularity of being released directly in PlayStation Plus Extra and PlayStation Plus Premium for all affected subscribers. If this is the case for you, you can download the game and start playing right away. Even better, you should enjoy: According to the press, the average on Metacritic is currently 85/100…and 9.3/10 from the players at the time of this writing.
Here are some excerpts from reviews:
An incredibly clever puzzle game that would be quite welcome if it were just a 3D clone of Lemmings, but is quickly evolving into something far more imaginative and unpredictable. – Metro Game Central, 9/10
Humanity is a phenomenal debut title that finds creative new ways to shake up the puzzle-platforming genre, and as it’s free from day one for PlayStation Plus Extra and Premium subscribers, there’s no reason to skip this must-have. – Screenrant, 4.5/5
Humanity is a beautiful, modern reimagining of Lemmings that feels every bit as esoteric and artistic as previous enhancer games, while ambitiously breaking new ground for the action-puzzle genre with the sizzling of countless little feet. -IGN, 9/10
Good news for PlayStation players! Have you played it and if so what do you think of it?
