Sony has released a new PS4 firmware update.
Earlier today, PS4 Owners everywhere were surprised to find new firmware updates waiting for them. The version released this week is 7.02, which is only 8 days from last week's 7.01.
The release of two versions within a few days was a little unusual for Sony, and we regret that we have nothing but the patch notes for "This system software update improves system performance". If unclear, the name is the same as the Marsh standard phrase used by Sony in these incremental updates.
However, this update, like all other updates, is required for online playback. Be sure to download it as soon as possible, although if your console is in idle mode, it may already be installed when you get home.
The download file is only 447.9MB, so it doesn't take long.
