Game news PS4: The little pearls you might have missed
,
Before indulging in the reputation of the new generation of consoles with a PlayStation 5 or Xbox Series X, make sure that you’ve actually taken the last generation tour as it contains little more or lesser-known video game pearls. That is why today we invite you to browse the PlayStation Store to see what you may have missed over the past few years.
Hotshot Racing
Let’s start this new list with Hotshot Racing! If you are a fan of yesterday’s motorized licenses, we can only advise you to travel the asphalt of this colorful world by following the letter or almost the codes of the Virtua Racing saga. Just like its famous elder, the title gives players the opportunity to rush through beautiful and detailed environments, and in particular to participate in a wide variety of events that highlight the rivalry between participants. You never feel alone on the track and this is where Hotshot Racing really excels. Note that the game can be played locally with three of your friends and is updated regularly: a new tournament was recently added for free!
Dead cells
If you missed Dead Cells in this generation of consoles, now is the time to fix your bug! Like any good self-respecting villain, the Motion Twin and Evil Empire game offers all players who are not afraid of permanent death, chain runs to defend themselves more and more effectively against monsters of all kinds as you discover new devastating items and new areas to explore. If you like the experience, be aware that there are a variety of enhancements available to extend the software’s already compelling lifespan. You got it, Dead Cells is a must.

Gang Beasts
If you are looking for a fun experience to break up your future evenings, Gang Beasts is for you! In fact, the title, especially crazy, was designed to bring multiple friends together on a single console. They all have to create their little humanoid creature together to immerse themselves in various destructible arenas. The goal? Waltz your opponents outside of the play area! All shots are allowed here, so of course you can use the scenery to drive your enemy away, or even take out your fists to weaken them.

A way out
If you recently loved Josef Fares’ latest production, It Takes Two, which we remember had a score of 18 out of 20 in our columns, we can only advise you to give A Way Out a try. Indeed, the cooperative title, playable locally as online, will keep you busy for several hours by offering you to play as two outlaws whose main objective is to escape from a highly secure prison. Note that the creation that multiplies the situations, as well as the mini-games, also allow moviegoers to enjoy daring shots and a particularly compelling thriller. As a reminder, the game is also available on PC and Xbox One and comes with a Friend Pass, which is ideal for sharing the experience with a friend who doesn’t own the game.

TowerFall Ascension
If you’ve sworn Celeste since its inception, the only thing we can refer you to is another creation by Matt Makes Games, which is TowerFall Ascension. Intended for both soloists and those looking to have a collaborative experience, this production includes a campaign with particularly high levels of difficulty. Here the goal is to fend off enemy hordes while trying never to flip the gun left to explode the scores. To aid you in your quest, your hero is obviously armed with a bow and a handful of arrows, surprisingly agile (your puff of air is your best weapon), and several bonus items that you can get. Pick them up at the four corners of the card.

OlliOlli 2: Welcome to OlliWood
Before the big comeback of the pro skater saga by Tony Hawk is celebrated with the remake, which last year on PC, PlayStation 4 and Xbox One and a few days ago on PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series X | S was released, board fans can play roulettes and all kinds of tricks did not have much to eat. Fortunately, there was still the OlliOlli saga, an independent saga run by roll7 that suggested increasingly robust goals. On our part, we obviously have a small preference for the second episode of the franchise, namely OlliOlli 2: Welcome to OlliWood, as the latter offers more extensive content, a much better mastered artistic touch and especially an incalculable number of characters to be achieved.

Tearaway unfolds
Before taking a look at the incredible Dreams creation tool, exclusive to PlayStation 4 and PlayStation 5, Media Molecule offered players Tearaway Unfolded, a production that is wrongly overlooked by the public. The latter offers platform game enthusiasts the opportunity to discover a colorful world where everything has been handcrafted. Just like LittleBigPlanet, another license from Media Molecule, the Tearaway Unfolded universe is essentially made up of everyday objects. like cardboard, paper or cotton. Note that, in addition to its great world, Tearaway Unfolded takes full advantage of the various functions of the DualShock 4: therefore, in order to solve certain puzzles, you have to regularly call up the pad.

Dead Nation: Apocalypse Edition
If killing dozens of zombies is your greatest passion, Dead Nation: Apocalypse Edition is for you! This exclusive PlayStation from Housemarque, the creators of Returnal, gives you a particularly difficult top-view shooter where it’s obviously possible to collaborate with a friend on the same sofa to complete missions. Throughout the adventure, players have to fight their way through gigantic hordes of hungry undead with a particularly complete arsenal. Note that the Apocalypse Edition version includes the base game as well as its Road of Devastation expansion.

Furi
Please note that the following production is recommended for players looking for a difficult and punishing experience! Indeed, Furi, the title of The Game Bakers, is particularly challenging as it challenges players to perfectly control their hero’s gestures in order to undermine a number of bosses, all of which are more difficult than the others. But Furi, it is not only a title with the ubiquitous difficulty, but also and especially a creation that is a perfect homage to the Japanese video game as well as a universe coated with a masterful artistic direction. If you are not afraid of starting the same fight over and over again, Furi should urgently be brought to justice.

Unknown Soldiers: Memories of World War I
Let’s end this list with one of Ubisoft’s amazing and successful creations, Unknown Soldiers: Memories of the Great War. The title, which was first released in 2014 on PC, Xbox 360, Xbox One, but also on PlayStation 3 and PlayStation 4, offers players the opportunity to experience trench warfare from a whole new perspective. In addition to the voice of soldiers like Émile, Karl and Freddie, the game also focuses on the vision of Anna, a young woman who works in an ammunition factory, with many puzzles to be solved. Not only is this story a story that focuses on the horrors of the trenches, but most importantly the scene of a more human story that deals with much broader subjects such as love, separation, grief, and solidarity.
