Xbox Players may be unhappy sea of thieves come PS5but game console The fans certainly are.
As of this writing, if you go to the PlayStation Store and look at PS5 pre-orders and sort them by best seller, you won’t find Elden Ring Shadow of the Erdtree or even Dragon’s Dogma 2 at the top, but Sea of Thieves Soon it will no longer be an Xbox exclusive. Very specifically, it’s the premium version of the game at the top of the list, which of course gives you the game, as well as pre-launch closed beta access, among a lot of other goodies. The standard version also performed well, ranking fourth on the pre-order list, while the deluxe version, which is cheaper than the premium version but more expensive than the standard version, also ranked tenth.

It’s clear that PlayStation fans want to buy Xbox games. This definitely makes sense for a game like Sea of Thieves, which is an online-only game. There are definitely a lot of PS5 players who would love to play with friends on Xbox, and since the game will be cross-platform and PC, they’ll be able to do that soon.
Xbox announced last month that it would be bringing select games to other platforms, including games like Grounded, Pentiment, Hi-Fi Rush and, of course, Sea of Thieves. Grounded and Pentiment are also coming to Nintendo Switch and PS5, and Hi-Fi Rush and Sea of Thieves are rumored to be coming to Switch as well, but that hasn’t happened yet. Maybe we’ll see them on the much-rumored Switch 2?

Either way, Sea of Thieves is definitely coming to PS5, and it’s not too far away—April 25, to be specific, which means there’s still over a month until those oceans look bluer.
