News hardware PS5: Sony fixes Dualsense charging and game deletion issues

The PS5 welcomed a new update to its system software this morning. After Sony “improved” the console’s performance in an initial patch last week, this time around Sony is investigating two issues reported by users of the new console.

That’s what they are Patch note published on the manufacturer’s website:

PS5 update 20.02-02.26.00:

  • Fixed an issue that could cause installed disc version games to be removed.
  • Fixed an issue with some PS5s that prevented a PS5 wireless controller (using the included USB cable) from charging to the USB Type-A port on the front of the PS5 in idle mode.

These two problems are a thing of the past thanks to this update 20.02-02.26.00 with a weight of 868 MB. Some users have reported other technical issues including unexpected crashes and a bug that a loud activation of the drive. Hopefully this will all be fixed in a future update as well.
