Sony filed a patent
Sony has not revealed the PS5, but has applied for several patents. A new entry points to a hot feature of the PlayStation 5 controller. If you use this function, the fan will definitely be excited.
Some features of the PS5 controller have been confirmed: adaptive triggers and haptic feedback. In addition, as shown by a new patent on the Wipo IP Portal website, wireless charging of the battery can be increased.
Sony has patented an adapter that can be connected to a controller and then place the controller on the bed. There, wireless charging can be performed on multiple charging pads simultaneously [Qi standard].

If you start the PS5 game again now, you have the option to use the controller with the included adapter. It connects to the back of the control unit and even provides you with buttons you can assign yourself. So you can play while the pad is powered. You no longer need it, and for many players, constantly plugging in a USB cable is definitely annoying.
Just because a patent has this feature does not mean that Sony is actually implementing it. It's also not safe to use the PS5, especially since the console is not explicitly shown in the patent entry, but the PS4 controller is.
There are rumors that Sony will release the PS5 in March. The release time has been determined. The new PlayStation will be on retail shelves by the end of 2020.
