After system updates for PlayStation 5 and PS4, access to online games is no longer available. Sony is there but no other titles are available (GT7, GTA Online…)
The PS5 and PS4 consoles were updated a few hours ago and we have to believe that these firmwares had an unintended consequence. The PlayStation Network is experiencing turmoil and players are reporting that they can no longer access the online gaming portion.
PSN is down
Recently gamers have actually reported a PlayStation Network unavailability which has been confirmed on the site so you can see service status. That’s what this portal says “Some services are having trouble”including PSN.
Whether it’s on PS5 or PS4, users are complaining that they can’t play FIFA 22, Destiny 2 or The Elder Scrolls Online online. Our colleagues from VGCthey confirm and indicate the impossibility of using the multiplayer features of Gran Turismo 7 or Street Fighter 5. FIFA allows some to navigate the online menus but not launch a game.
Sony Interactive Entertainment teams are investigating the cause of the outage:
Good Morning ! Thank you for contacting us. We are aware that some players are experiencing issues with online play functionality and we are investigating the issue promptly.
PlayStation Network outage: PS Now and Store affected
PlayStation Network isn’t the only service that’s down. The PS Now / Store and the Games & Social Networking category are unavailable. Account management, PlayStation Video and Direct, on the other hand, are ok. At the moment we do not know the reasons for these disruptions, and the Japanese company will not manage to fix everything during the day either.
In player feedback, some claim that their PlayStation Plus subscription is no longer recognized.
Have you installed the latest PS5 update? Do you also have problems with online functions? Tell us everything Remarks.
