The long-running Battle Royale PUBG: Battlegrounds is once again getting a fresh update, which also includes cooperation with McLaren.
Thanks to the cooperation with the well-known racing team and supercar manufacturer McLaren, PC players until November 2nd and consoleros until November 10th can race to the chicken dinner in more style, because now exclusive McLaren GT car skins and in-g ame items await .
Detached from this action, the current update 19.2 naturally offers other innovations, including a new vehicle and weather system for Deston, a refreshed animation and more.
The most important innovations are officially stated as follows:
-
Drive in style with McLaren Automotive: For the duration of PUBG: Battleground’s partnership with LcLaren Automotive, players will have the opportunity to obtain a McLaren GT Standard – Onyx Black vehicle skin, costume, gear, emote and more via in-game McLaren Loot Chests. Players can also customize the Coupe RB vehicle with a McLaren skin. The special McLaren skins can be applied to the vehicle via the new Interact UI by players pressing the secondary Interact button in front of the vehicle. The skins do not affect the vehicle’s performance and its original specifications remain unchanged.
-
Vehicle workshop: Players can also craft the “McLaren GT Standard – Silica White” and “McLaren GT Elite – Volcano Yellow” vehicle skins in the Workshop using the McLaren Tokens obtained from McLaren Loot Chests and the Craftsman Pass. McLaren Loot Chests and the Artisan Pass will be sold in PUBG: Battlegrounds during the PC and Console cooperation periods. Additionally, exclusive McLaren Automotive customizable items are now available as part of the collaboration, allowing players to customize their own McLaren vehicles to reflect their personal style. In the Workshop, players can craft exterior paint, brake calipers, wheel rims, and more to customize their own vehicles with these items. The customized cars can also be displayed in the lobby.
-
McLaren Container Car: Throughout the cooperation period, a special container vehicle will spawn at each starting point in Erangel, Miramar, Taego, Sanhok, Vikendi, and Deston. Players who own a McLaren vehicle skin can interact with these container vehicles and only the player and/or their teammates who open the container can drive and drive the vehicle. The McLaren containers and vehicles will be removed once the game starts.
-
-
The not-so-friendly neighborhood food truck: A new vehicle has appeared in Deston that will serve up some not-so-nice treats for players as they explore Deston. Those who see the new food truck driving through Deston can expect a buffet of bullets flying out of the truck’s open window! The food truck can accommodate up to four passengers and has a large, vertical and open window on one side. The car is only available in Deston.
-
New Feature: Weather Change: Players who jump into Deston will be able to experience the new time of day weather feature, which will provide more realistic light/weather conditions over the course of a match. The feature will not support a full day-night cycle, only a short history cycle without a drastic change in the position of the sun.
-
Updated animations: The update to update the animations, which originally came in a developer letter described will be live with Update 19.2! The goal of the update is to enhance the gameplay experience by improving and refining the animation rendering while maintaining the existing timing and strategy.
