Krafton is giving the long-running PUBG: Battlegrounds the next update and is putting the ranked mode in focus.
Developer Krafton has now made the new update version 30.1 available for the long-running battle royale PUBG: Battlegrounds. This new patch primarily brings several important changes to the ranked mode, as the entire ranked experience has been improved, as has the new SMG balancing. The developers want to ensure a more competitive gaming experience.
Specifically, the following is happening in terms of ranking mode:
-
Adapted ranking point system: The rank point system has been reworked to better reflect individual player performance and make advancement more challenging and rewarding.
-
Step protection: Players who level up now benefit from a buffer that protects them from early demotation in the event of a loss. This gives them a chance to acclimate to the new level and maintain their new rank.
-
Season Rewards Update: Players can look forward to enticing seasonal rewards that provide additional incentives to reach higher ranks and maintain that peak performance.
In terms of SMG balancing and gunplay adjustments, various weapons have been reworked, including the AUG, Dragunov, and SMGs. This should make the combat experience more balanced and cater to different playstyles and strategies. Recoil patterns and handling have also been improved, resulting in a smoother and more responsive shooting experience.
