The free play experiment of PUBG on PC has ended.
PUBG LiteLaunched in 2019, it is a low-priced, free version of the Royal Royale game, which will be closed later this month.
PUBG Corp. cancelled the download link on Tuesday, but players who have already installed PUBG Corp. can continue playing and spend game points before April 29. All PUBG Lite player support will end on May 29, one month later.
In the announcement, PUBG Corp. did not explain why it wanted to kill the game, but said that the decision was made after “thought-out”.
“We would like to express our sincerest apologies and deepest gratitude to everyone. We sincerely hope that you will spend a pleasant time with us and look forward to our future development.” The developer said.
PUBG Lite was initially launched in Southeast Asia and later entered Europe. The studio is currently making two games in the PUBG world, and recently discovered that one of them is PUBG: New State-this is the sequel to PUBG Mobile in the near future.
It is assumed that the sequel to the main PUBG on PCs and game consoles is another major project of the team.
